Made For Worship

"I had never noticed that all enjoyment spontaneously overflows into praise [whether of God or anything]... The world rings with praise -- lovers praising their mistresses, readers their favorite poet, walkers praising the countryside, players praising their favorite game. ... I think we delight to praise what we enjoy because the praise not merely expresses but completes the enjoyment; it is its appointed consummation.” -C.S. Lewis.

We were made for worship.

Worship is formative not only in what people believe but in how they live. Human beings are designed to worship something. We worship what we believe will give us value, purpose, and meaning. King's Cross Church believes that Jesus gives us value, purpose, and meaning, and that compels us to worship him in rich and robust ways. Our worship of God shapes and forms us as his people sent out on mission. We are informed by the historical richness of the Christian Church and our present culture to create an environment of worship that enables us to know, glorify, and enjoy God!
